Laughter, they say, is good for the soul. Theatre has provided escapism and comic relief for ages, and if ever there was a time when the world needs the arts, that time is now. And, I think all of us could use a good laugh these days.

There’s plenty of laughs to have at Bristol Riverside Theatre’s latest show, A Comedy of Tenors. Ken Ludwig’s rollicking show is filled with sexual inuendo and misunderstandings, which makes for great comedy.

Amy Kaissar directs Bristol Riverside Theatre’s latest production, which runs now through March 27.

The plot revolves around the “Concert of the Century,” and the three tenors who will be performing before a stadium brimming with adoring fans. Mistaken identity and confusion take the cast and audience members through a hilarious journey. And, there’s also opera!

The cast features: Oakley Boycott, Jef Canter, Benjamin Lurye, Barbara McCulloh, Megan McDermott, Michael Padgett, and Jim Shankman.

Bristol Riverside Theatre is in it’s 34^th season of performances and has produced 165 works since its opening in 1986. For tickets and information, check out brtstage.org.
