Association of Fundraising Professionals – Philip Lindy

This year on National Philanthropy Day, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Philadelphia Chapter, honored several people active in philanthropic endeavors. The late Philip Lindy was honored as Philanthropist of the Year. Since he was not able to accept the award I was charged with producing a short video about Mr. Lindy’s good work with Drexel University. The video was shown at the National Philanthropy Day luncheon at the Sheraton Hotel on 17th Street. Mr. Lindy’s generous donations to Drexel enabled the creation of the Lindy Scholars Program, the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement, and the Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships. In addition to his generosity, Mr. Lindy was also personally invested and involved in the programs that he helped fund.
